A common sight on the rolling prairie near my studio is the solitary bird of prey. Patiently waiting for lunch, it is another example of nature’s ability to camouflage while still providing unmistakable patterns and colors that identify an individual species. Once again, I am more interested in conveying a momentary glimpse rather than a detailed anatomical study.
